The Crystal Challenge

February 10 2022

Written by

The Team Building Experience Crystal Challenge is packed with fun, excitement, and hilarity as teams compete against each other to see who will come out victorious.

Our games will test your team’s mental agility and physical skills; your candidates must work together to beat the opposition before the time runs out.

The Crystal Challenge Brief

Working through our Crystal Challenge task zones, your teams will compete in challenges against the clock aiming to win all-important crystals. For each challenge you have the chance to win up to three crystals, the amount you win will depend on how well you work together as a team. Be aware though, if we catch you cheating, you could end up with none!

Each activity is hosted by one of our event staff, who will ensure everyone understands the rules. They will also be looking out for signs of teamwork and communication which can earn you bonus crystals…

The Crystal Challenge Mission

When all activities are complete, it’s time to count up the crystals collected by each group. The top three teams with the most crystals will get to take on our Crystal Challenge Dome.

For the grand finale, teams will enter the Crystal Challenge Dome, where each team must grab as many gold tickets as possible within the time limit. However, there are also silver tickets floating around. Avoid the silver tickets, as these deduct points and could jeopardise the chance to win.

After all top teams have completed their time in the dome, the tickets are counted to determine first, second and third place. Bronze and silver medals are awarded to teams in third and second place until it’s time for the winning team to proudly receive their shining gold medals.

The Crystal Challenge is excellent as an outdoor event, but with enough space, it can be played indoors, too!

Groups will be split into approximately 10 people, and will each rotate around your selected activities. Throughout the day, teams will be competing to win as many ‘Spy Dollars’ as they possibly can. After your time is up, the team with the most Spy Dollars will be crowned the champions and each member will receive a winning trophy!

Some of our most popular activities to choose from are as below:

  • Axe Throwing – After a short period of instruction, each agent will test their throwing skills, using specially made axes and wooden targets. Always under expert supervision! Subject to venue approval and suitability.
  • Code Breaking – A 15-minute challenge where agents decipher a series of cryptic clues to work out the correct sequence of wires to disconnect on an electronic ‘bomb’. Tension builds as the agents work against the digital clock and its relentless ticking.
  • Safe Cracking – Only the best secret agents can crack a safe open under pressure. Teams will need to work fast to find the combinations and gain the spy dollars inside for their reward.
  • Minefield Breach – Teams have to successfully negotiate their blindfolded colleagues through a minefield, is there enough trust for your colleagues to do this successfully, and with accurate and clear communication?!
  • Pistol Draw – The team undergo training in how to properly hold and aim a pistol, the secret agents weapon of choice. Using our training weapons, our instructors will help to improve the speed of the draw, firing positions, and teach the new agents left from right! All the training culminates in a ‘fastest draw’ competition to find the Jason Bourne of the group!
  • Thunderball – The ‘toxic waste’ must be transported as slowly and carefully as possible to a controlled storage container. More dollars are available for extra tricks, twists, and turns.

The Enigma Project is especially popular as it has an element of competition to bring the best (and worst!) out of everyone, it’s really engaging as each challenge is only 15-20 minutes. It will touch on many different skill sets, so gives everyone in the group and chance to shine (and earn some spy dollars!)

As early frustrations set in, teams must communicate, collaborate, and adapt, with leadership naturally shifting as the pressure builds and the countdown continues.

With every second ticking away, teams are thrown into a series of varied mental and physical challenges designed to test focus, creativity, problem-solving and teamwork. From tasks that demand steady hands and fine motor skills, to puzzles that require patience and logical thinking, every activity pushes the group in different ways. Strategy plays a crucial role throughout the experience. Teams must decide whether to quickly complete multiple lower-value challenges to rack up points, or risk precious time tackling tougher tasks that offer bigger rewards. Every decision counts as the clock relentlessly counts down.

Murder Mystery

January 31 2023

Written by

A murder has taken place, the suspects are assembled and it’s down to your team to crack the case.

During this professionally performed Murder Mystery, guests work together in teams to investigate what happened. They’ll question suspects, examine clues, share information and follow the twists and turns of the story as new secrets come to light. Ultimately, each team must use the evidence they’ve gathered to decide who they believe committed the crime.

Unlike Murder Mystery events where guests are assigned characters or expected to act, every role is performed by a professional cast. Participants simply become the detectives, making the experience easy to join in with and accessible to colleagues who may be less comfortable performing in front of a group.

A rotating repertoire of original stories also means there are different cases to investigate throughout the year, including seasonal Halloween and Christmas themes.

Murder Mystery Schedule

September–October 2026 — Rise & Demise: The TurningAn ancient ritual is beginning and tensions between vampires and humans have reached breaking point. In this contemporary vampire-themed mystery, guests are drawn into a world of shifting loyalties, dangerous secrets and a murder that threatens to destroy the fragile peace.

November–December 2026 — The Final Curtain – Step into the glamour of an Edwardian Music Hall, where the brightest stars of a beloved theatre are gathering for a night of entertainment. But behind the scenes, all is not quite as it seems. Guests will question suspicious characters, uncover hidden secrets and work together to identify a killer lurking in the wings.

January–February 2027 — The Unsolved Case of Jack the Stripper – A dangerous killer is stalking the streets of Victorian London, and the case has baffled even Shylock Holmes and Inspector Abalone. Can your guests do any better? They’ll question a colourful cast of suspects and uncover hidden secrets as they attempt to finally crack the case

March–April 2027 — A Lovely Way To Die – It’s the 1970s and the glitz and glamour of the Romance Writer of the Year Awards is in full swing. But an evening of celebration is shattered when a bestselling author promises revelations that some will kill to keep hidden. It’s up to the guests to separate fact from fiction and solve the mystery before the final chapter is written

May–August 2027 — Choice of Four Mysteries – During this period, clients can choose from the four previous different Murder Mysteries: Rise & Demise: The Turning, The Final Curtain, The Unsolved Case of Jack the Stripper and A Lovely Way To Die

September–October 2027 — Give Us a Clue – Six strangers. Six colourful pseudonyms. One mysterious private residence. They soon discover they have more in common than they realised – and each has secrets they’d rather keep hidden. When one of them suddenly dies, guests face that most familiar of murder mystery questions: who did it, in which room and with which weapon?

November–December 2027 — Behind the Mask – The Brandon family are back, this time gathering for a glamorous masquerade ball in aid of fallen women. But behind the masks, old grudges and family secrets are never far from the surface – and when one of the Brandons meets a very unexpected end, guests must discover who has something much darker to hide.

Charity Bike Build

March 28 2023

Written by

Looking to make a difference to the world but not sure how? Our Charity Bike Build is the experience for you!

Remember back when you were younger, playing outside was the best thing ever? Unfortunately, not everyone has access to toys to play with at home, which is why we have created an Charity Team Building event where you can build bikes for young children, who don’t have the luxury to afford their own. The charity all bikes will go to, will range from Children’s homes, Charity shops, all the way to donations to less-privileged families. You’ll be making a real difference to families from all over.

You’ll begin the event by splitting into teams of up to ten people (we recommend 5-6 per team!) and start with a basic bike frame. Then the challenge begins! You will need to earn all the different parts of the bike in order to complete it, and make it your own. To earn these bike parts, you will need to complete a variety of tasks – some of which are pure fun, some are skill based. One example of the challenges you may face, is completing the quickest mile on our cycling simulator, or putting your theory-based cycling rules of the road to the test… put your best colleagues up to the test!

Should you complete the tasks and in theory, win, you will receive some fun-money which can be used in any of our equipment zones, to purchase the different materials you need to build your bike. As some of your group may not know how to build a bike (it’s not the most common skill!) we will have bike mechanics and support instructors on-hand to help. Each team will also have a full toolkit, so everything you need to complete it will be there with you.

At the end of the event, you will conclude with a presentation of all the bikes. If we can also get one for you, we will also get a video from the designated charity, to say a lovely thank you message to your team. Give back to people with our Charity Bike Build event!

Now is the perfect excuse to do some Team Building for Charity!

Casino Night

January 4 2023

Written by

A Casino Night is the perfect way to get you and your colleagues socialising together in a unique and fun format. Your whole event will be hosted by one of our croupiers, so you can sit back and just play the game!

Choose from either two, three or four casino tables with each table holding up to 15 people per table. Each table will have their very own live dealer, and will operate with fun-money casino chips. Typically, events range from 2-3 hours, allowing all guests to experience all the games.

With each event, you will be able to choose whether you want to have Red, Black or White tables, for our Blackjack, Roulette, Craps or one of our variations of Poker. Do let us know which game you are looking to do!

The dealers at each table will teach everyone how to play and keep them entertained. At the end of the game time, everyone will reconvene in the main room and a leaderboard will show who ended the game with the most chips! Don’t worry if some of your guests haven’t played before. Hosts will introduce rules and provide the best tips on the games.

Casino Nights are a great way to connect people and act as a great team building activity.

Guided by a master chocolatier, participants will learn about the journey of chocolate from bean to bar before creating a selection of beautiful handmade treats to be packaged and donated to charitable NHS trust charities.

Following inspiring demonstrations, teams will use professional techniques and specialist equipment to create flavoured chocolate bars, chocolate lollipops, giant chocolate buttons, and chocolate truffles.

Set up as a fully mobile pop-up cookery school, this feel-good activity combines teamwork, creativity, friendly competition, and charitable giving, giving participants the chance to produce beautifully packaged baskets of goodies for a meaningful cause.

Led by professionally trained chefs and supported by our event crew, teams will take on a series of baking challenges inspired by exclusive recipes from our patisserie chefs. After a welcome from the host, a warm-up activity, and a chef-led demonstration, the clock starts ticking as teams make, bake, decorate, and package a variety of treats such as truffles, cookies and cakes. Everything is provided, including hamper baskets, bags, bows, boxes, Kilner jars, and ingredient labels, so each donation is finished to a high standard.

To add a fun competitive twist, our chef will judge the creations across categories such as creativity, skill, presentation, and taste. Points are awarded for standout bakes, while penalties may be given for undercooked cakes, soggy bottoms, split custards, or any kitchen mishaps along the way! The result is a lively, memorable experience that gives teams plenty to laugh about while creating something that can make a real difference to others.

Team Bake Off is our take on the popular Bake Off TV Show that tests talent and time management… as well as a lot of patience!

Team Bake Off is completely mobile, meaning we can literally bring it to any venue. You don’t need to have kitchen facilities as we bring a pop up kitchen that has been designed for the specific purpose of mobile cookery events! We also bring professional chefs to the event, many of which have a Michelin Star background, so you are well and truly in the best hands.

Hats and aprons at the ready, teams will head to their cooking areas and begin the challenge with a mixture of tasks at hand. With an on-site expert chef guiding teams through their different bakes, this is a fun, challenging and rewarding team building event, suitable for everyone. Oh and of course a tasty one too!

What will Team Bake Off entail?

Our specialist team will set up a fully mobile cookery school including everything you would normally find in the kitchen. This includes team baking zones, ovens, utensils, and all required ingredients, all purposely designed for mobile cookery experiences. After some amazing demonstrations from our professional chef it’s then down to the teams who will be challenged with creating a variety of bakes.

Teams can experiment with all kinds of flavours, and baking techniques, all under the guidance of our experts. It’s not all about the flavour though. All teams are judged on originality, presentation, creativity, teamwork & taste. Once the time is up each teams creations are presented, with judging hosted just like you see on the famous TV show. Winning teams receive medals and proud photo moments!

Each team will also have takeaways from their bakes to show off to colleagues, friends and family.

Ultimate Nonsense Quiz of Nonsense

February 17 2022

This is no ordinary pub quiz—forget everything you know about answering questions correctly, because here, creativity is the name of the game. In fact, the wilder your answers, the better!

Designed for those who prefer laughter over logic, this quiz is a whirlwind of ridiculous challenges, offbeat questions, and scenarios that make no sense—and that’s exactly how it should be! Teams will band together, not to showcase their knowledge, but to stretch their imaginations to new, hilarious heights. And with no right or wrong answers, the goal is simple: think outside the box (and way beyond the box, if you dare).

Over 120 minutes of non-stop silliness, your team will be tasked with solving absurd puzzles, tackling creative challenges, and delivering answers that are as unexpected as they are unforgettable. The more original your answer, the more points you’ll score, but beware—if your idea is too ordinary, you might just find yourself at the bottom of the leaderboard!

Whether you’re breaking the ice with colleagues or simply looking to shake up your next corporate gathering, this quiz brings out the best in team dynamics through humor, spontaneity, and a dash of absurdity. The Ultimate Quiz of Nonsense is perfect for corporate groups who want to trade stiff boardroom meetings for a social experience that encourages creativity, cooperation, and, most importantly, fun!

Get your creative juices flowing with our lego animation experience. It’s time to bring a story to life and be ready to film the best mini movie your colleagues have seen. The competition levels are high! Think you’ve got what it takes?

After an initial briefing and introduction from your Event Manager, teams will be introduced to Stop Motion Animation techniques and given the brief of the task ahead which is to create their own short, animated film. Each team will be issued with their own supply of Lego pieces – circa 1,500 pieces per team – along with pre-built corner studios and tablets in order to create, film and edit a movie to a specific brief. It’s time to get stuck into the lego animation activity!

Initially each team of 6-8 participants will discuss ideas, produce their film storyboards and allocate roles for their team members including:

• Project Director
• Script writing
• Scenery and Model making & moving
• Photography & Production

With all roles allocated and storyboard concepts completed, teams will begin building sets, making characters and shooting the scenes. Instructed and assisted by our Events Team throughout, your assigned photographers use the Samsung Galaxy Tablets provided to capture all the action before editing it into a final 1-minute version.

The event concludes with a big screen preview of each team’s production, judged by our event team. Medals will be awarded to the winning team based on all round creativity from concept to delivery. Films completed and handed over to our Event Manager are then compiled onto a USB memory stick, for our team to polish back in the office and send to you after the event.

Will you be crowned the lego animation master?
